Rokke's American Pale Ale Wins Gold at the 2005 National Homebrew Competition
Under
the PHC banner, Vince Rokke's American Pale Ale was judged to be the best
beer in Category 10. American Ale in the 2005 AHA National Homebrew
Competition. |

PHC
Members Get Gold at the 2004 National Homebrew Competition
The
dust has cleared 2 members of the Prairie Homebrewing Companions have
emerged with gold medals from the 2004 AHA National Homebrew
Competition.
Dick
Nilles (left) was awarded the gold medal in Category 17: Wheat Beer for
his Berliner Weisse.
Curt
& Kathy Stock were awarded the gold medal in Category 26: Fruit
Mead. (they are from St Paul but Curt did become a member of the PHC
last year, even though they compete under the St Paul Homebrewers Club
banner).

AHA
National Conference 2003
 On June
19th through the 21st 2003, a PHC crew of 8 attended the AHA
National Homebrew Conference in Chicago. A fun
time was had by all and pictures are available of the conference,
with some of the pics showing the PHC'ers.

Charlie
on the Road Tour 2002
On
April 1st 2002, the Prairie Homebrewing Companions hosted Charlie
Papazian, founder of the American Homebrewing Association and
homebrewing author on the first leg of his "Charlie on the
Road Tour" for 2002.
A
limited number of commemorative pint glasses are still available.

AHA
Homebrewers of the Year
Congratulations
to PHC members Mickey and Vi Walker who's Bohemian Pilsner won a
Gold Medal in the 2000 AHA competition, and then went on to best
all other beers giving them the prestigious title of Homebrewers
of the Year for 2000.
